The FORCE Project- cities collaborating FOR Circular Economy - Academy’s international e-learning course took place in November 16-20 and was focused on “Circular Bioeconomy: wood and food value chain partnerships”.
It was addressed to European students: third year students of bachelor degree, master students, graduates and master graduates, PhD students with an affinity for Circular Economy in the context of waste prevention, reuse, repair as well as collection at city level.
The course aims at allowing a better understanding of circular bioeconomy from a theoretical and an applied perspective. It will include economics and marketing issues, environmental issues and legal issues.
It consisted of one week of lectures, including entrepreneurial testimonials, for at least 4 hours per day, individual assignments, teamwork and presentation of projects.
Teaching staff was composed by academics, policy makers and industrial experts including chemists, engineers, biotechnologists and managers.
In a nutshell, it was a one of a time one-week intensive free international course for university students that provided 2 ECTS from the University of Genoa, funded by the EU Horizon 2020 framework through the FORCE project.
Now, the course and video-lessons are available to all through the force academy platform, for free. No academic credits or any kind of certification is provided in this e-course.
This is another FORCE project contribution to all citizens interested in Bioeconomy and Circular Economy.
